Training
for and obstacle course competition in my opinion, is one of the most physically
and mentally challenging yet rewarding sports around. I have been involved
in the Women's Tri- Fitness now for almost 6 years. Whether it be participating
in it or judging one. I absolutely love doing them.
Al Rosen is the founder of this grueling 3-day sport that brings women from
all over the world to compete in a combination of different rounds. The Tri
- Fitness consists of a physique/ bathing suit round, an outdoor obstacle
course, a fitness/dance routine, and a skills round made up of box jump, shuttle
run and bench press. He set this up in such a way that we can challenge every
part of our beings until complete exhaustion LOL. I have enjoyed working on
both sides of the competition and have met a lot of strong, beautiful and
incredibly competitive women along the way. If you have not already tried
this, I challenge you to do so. It is one of the most rewarding experiences
that I have accomplished. This type of competing takes about 6 months to completely
train for in order to be at your best for all events. I will be training for
the World Tri - Fitness this year and also training a team of girls too. In
doing this event, I will go over all the training necessary and assure you
that when done, you will have had a great experience, a rewarding feeling,
and probably want to become part of this up and coming competition every year.
Please check out the pictures
that I have put up to show what the course looks like. You can also go to
my link
area and go straight to the WTF web site if you are interested.
Hope to hear from you and see all of you out there on the course this year.
I am always available to assist anyone who wants to become part of this family
of tough girls! E-mail me with any questions and make sure that you check
out my
blog, as I will be updating everyone on my own training for the
event. Good luck….Kimberley
